My passion for childcare has always been there but like most, changing from ‘what I knew’ was a challenge, a challenge that I embraced and wouldn’t look back, My only regret is that I didn’t make the jump sooner.
I have a love for learning about additional needs, ensuring the safety of child and safeguarding.

I can’t think of anything better than developing children’s knowledge and understanding of the world around them, their world is so important to them.
I like to spend my spare time attempting to revamp my garden and grow some fruit and vegetables with my 3 year old daughter. I spent my weekends travelling the country watching my partner compete in stock car racing.
I am from big family where there were always a lot of children so being surrounded by little people was always integral part of my life.
Now I have 3 children of my own at different age range and I enjoy spending time with them.
I especially love working with young children as they are very honest, creative and full of joy.
I also love music, dance, dogs and all sort of sports.
I have worked in childcare for over 10 years.
I became a practitioner because I enjoy engaging with children in their play and supporting them on their learning and development journey.
In my spare time I love spending time with my children and husband.

In my free time I love spending time in nature, taking long walks with my family and I also love travelling.

Allowing children to express their creative ideas in various ways has been important to me. I have been able support children’s wellbeing and individuality, whilst allowing them to experiment.
I have also gained invaluable experience whilst working in a forest school setting, whilst becoming a qualified level 3 practitioner. This has given me a passion for the outdoors. With the knowledge and experience I have gained; I feel it is essential to pass this onto our children to enable them to love their environment and to take care of it.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and taking mountain bike rides with my 2 teenage children
From a young age I always wanted to work with Children, as soon as I left school I gained my qualifications and began working in childcare settings. The best bit about working with the children is the bond you make with them and knowing that the smile on their face is because of you.

I have worked in nurseries, as an au pair, a babysitter and as a nanny for 10 years. In recent years, I have developed a keen interest in the psychology aspect of childcare, completing courses in understanding mental health in children and young people and neuroscience in early years.
When I'm not at pre-school, I'm spending time with my 2 children aged 4 and 1. We love to play games, go to the park and read stories together.
As a Mum and a childcare practitioner, my favourite part is watching the children grow, develop and learn through play and being a part of their journey is an absolute joy!

Please reach us at if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Yes, all of our staff are DBS checked. The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) carries out enhanced checks with barred lists on anyone working with children, to make sure the children are safe.
Yes, all staff are trained in first aid. This is a crucial requirement set by the Department of Education. The training ensures that staff can respond effectively to medical emergencies involving children.
We are a NUT FREE setting.
We cater for children with special dietary requirements and individual needs are discussed with the child’s key worker and the pre-school manager.
At Growing Stars Pre-School we have home packed lunches and these can be tailored to individual preferences and dietary needs by the parents. Parents can accommodate allergies, cultural preferences, and specific dietary restrictions when packing lunch for their child.
Each child at Growing Stars Preschool will have an allocated keyworker, this person will be your main point of contact. The keyworker will work with you and your child to ensure they are happy, safe and have lots of fun whilst within the setting. Your child's keyworker will be the main one who records your child's developmental journey whilst in the setting.
Your child’s Learning Journey tells the story of their learning. Over time, it will become a celebration of their achievement and progress, recording the activities that your child has enjoyed in the setting and with family and friends at home.
This learning journey will be available through our Tapestry system where you can access photos, observations and much more. You will find the link in the parent section of this website. Through logging on to this system you will have access to your child’s ‘magic moments’ that you enjoy together as a family.
